Writing to me can come easy, but then there are those times where I cant think of anything to write at all. When I write I think of a million things I want to say, but when it comes to putting it on paper I really draw a blank. In class when we took our VARK test it really helped me understand what kind of learner I am. I can use the way I learn and apply it to my paper when writing it and organizing the ideas for the paper.
In class I learned I was a visual learner and knowing that really helped me to understand how I should go about writing my paper. I like using graphs and outlines to set up my paper so I know I can be organized as I go on with my paper. I like to keep my ideas and thoughts all together and I really think that using an outline helps me to do so. Although I am a visual learner I also found other ways that really helped me collect all my thoughts.
The play-doh exercise really helped me to think about how I think when I start to write a paper. When I made the sun out of bright yellow play-doh I understood I did the sun because of the color of the play-doh. originally I tried to make a teddy bear but that did not turn out so well. However, it made me realize I relate things together in order to make something out of them or to out them together.
As the class goes on I feel like I learn more and more about myself as a writer. As I learn more about myself I also learn better ways to write my paper and how to organize my ideas.

Kristi, the more you know about your writing process, the easy it is to do. I'm proud of not only these observations, but also your analysis of what they mean.
