Letter of introduction

Dear Stephanie,

Crazy, bubbly, blonde, loving, motivated, and active would be a few of the words people would use to describe me. I was born on July 27, 1991 to my parents Timothy and Catherine Behm. Even though sometimes I don’t want to claim them, I have to, their names are on my birth certificate. Another name on the certificate is mine, my parents named me Kristi Marie Behm. I have two younger sisters Katie who is a sophomore in high school and Kari who is in eighth grade. However, I am a freshman at Illinois Central College with a huge dream of majoring in pre-med.

Growing up I was very spoiled by my parents and they opened many doors of opportunities for me. They put me through a catholic school for grade school then sent me to Richwoods High School where I played softball and danced for their dance team. I also met my boyfriend of two and a half years who also attends ICC. During my time at Richwoods I also found a new love of McDonalds restaurant. I think I used to eat at McDonalds every morning and every evening for dinner, I guess you just can't beat their dollar menu or the fifteen pounds you gain from it. Entering college was a huge change for me, it meant I actually had to grow up and learn how to do things on my own. College has been very fun though in the week I have been here and I have already met so many new people and some great teachers especially my English 105 teacher, she should get an award for best teacher or greatest style. Other than that school has just started and I am ready for so many more opportunities to come my way.

My personality is very bubbly, I can be shy at times but once I get started there is no stopping me. I get along with most people and after about the first five minutes you will be able to tell why I was born blonde. I have played many sports including soccer, softball, volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, and dance. My most favored sport was softball which I have played for about 11 years. I have a huge heart that keeps me motivated to sticking with all my dreams and ideas. I have a very big dream of becoming a pediatrician.

Being a pediatrician is something I have dreamed about ever since I was in first aid/CPR my junior year at school after they told me shopping was not a profession. The thought of me being able to save lives is absolutely amazing to me. I especially love kids too so this works out to be a perfect for a profession along with the knowledge I have of being stuck in a pediatrician's office for hours and hours at a time this year due to an appendectomy I had done. Other future goals would be to start a family of my own and eventually, after I win the lottery, to own the Chicago Cubs. My whole family is full of cubs fans except my crazy and goofy aunt who I don’t claim at times but still love.

Recently, I lost my grandmother (also known as Mamma) to pancreatic cancer and learned a whole new outlook on life. I took life for granite before and now I cherish every moment of it and try to make life easier on others and help out in any way I can. I go to the gym almost every other day to stay in shape and keep my heart going. Losing her was so hard but it really opened my eyes to how much one can really accomplish in a life time and how little time we have to do it. I want a tattoo of the letter L-O-V-E because I believe with every decision you make and every day you wake up its because of love.

This is my time line and my dreams which have taken eighteen years to accomplish but yet still have so many more years and memories to add to it. I hope now you can see how crazy, bubbly, blonde, loving, motivated, and active are the words that people would use to describe me.

Sincerely,

Kristi Behm
